Can I view live propagation activity on wspr-matrix.net/matrix if I do not have a WSPR receiver?

Yes. You can view reports uploaded by any top spotter in your region.

Top spotter reports are published live by Phil VK7JJ at wspr.rocks/topspotters/topk.html.

Enter the top spotter callsign in the matrix setup page. When setup is complete, press the Go! button.

Does WSPR Matrix prove short-path or long-path propagation?

No. WSPR Matrix reports observed activity by reporter, destination area, band, and time. Path direction needs separate evidence, such as directional antennas, controlled antenna rotation, or another validated method.

What is the Global Matrix?

The Global Matrix shows all beacons heard by the selected reporter in the loaded or collected data. It is not filtered by selected destination areas.

What is the Path Matrix?

The Path Matrix filters activity into two selected destination areas. The destination area can be defined by city radius or by selected two-letter Maidenhead map grids.
